The nine files here provide all the data and supporting information for Peter N. Peregrine "Social resilience to climate change during the Late Antique Little Ice Age: A replication study." Codebook. This is the codebook for the project for which this study is only one part. As such there are many variables in the codebook not present in the analyzed data. It should be noted that the dependent variables in the codebook are all scored on a five-point scale. These were re-coded into a three-point scale for analysis using the following formula: 1=3 (Much) 2=2 (Some) 3=1 (None) 4=2 (Some) 5=3 (Much) Social Change Data (csv) contains all the data used in the analysis in csv format. Again, not all the variables listed in the codebook are included, only those used in the study. In addition, however, are both the original and recoded versions of the dependent variables, as well as the standardized versions of the independent variables used to create the Corporate-Exclusionary and Looseness-Tightness indexes. Social Change Data (SPSS) contains the data used in the analysis in SPSS format. This format provides full variable titles and score labels. SPSS Output (pdf) and (SPSS) are identical. They latter is an SPSS output file. All the analyses reported in the article are given in these files, indcluding the code used to create the indices, the factor analyses of those indices, and the full Bayesian analyses. The Raw Coding Data Excel file contains all the supporting information for each coded value. The Raw Coding Data Bibliography Excel file contains the bibliographic notes for each piece of supporting information in the Raw Coding Data file. The Raw Coding Data RDF file contains both the supporting information for each coded value and linked bibliographic notes in RDF triplestore format. The Raw Coding Data RDF Ontology file contains the ontology associated with the Raw Coding Data RDF triplestore file.
